James is an emerging Australian artist who began his career in London. He works in digital painting, and sculpture (digital and traditional). Having completed a degree in Animation at Griffith University in Queensland, James continued to develop his work through the formal study of human anatomy and the foundations of Fine Art. He has exhibited in Amsterdam, Brisbane, Oxford and London.
While drawing and painting have been his focus for many years, sculpture has become an increasingly central part of James' work. He has been captivated by the human form, and the resulting focus has been a desire to express that appreciation throughout his art. By inspiring the viewers appreciation, so has he expanded it within himself. James’ work is multi-layered, playful, intriguing and emotive, inviting the viewer to consider hidden complexities.
